Opening of Kaimhill Primary School

This week the new Kaimhill Primary School in Aberdeen successfully concluded the City Council's 3R's “reorganise, renovate and rebuild" school building programme of nine new schools, refurbishment of one school and refurbishment of one Sports Centre.

Head teacher Nancy Davidson at Kaimhill Primary School was happy with the new school and so were the children. “Kaimhill is fitted out and ready for the 21st Century," she said, and the children’s’ spontaneous exclamations were "awesome" and "amazing".

Pihl has built the schools, which include two Academies for Cults and Bucksburn and Primaries at Airyhall, Braehead, Mile End, Hazlehead, Heathryburn, Manor Park and Kaimhill as well as the refurbishment of Seaton Primary and Beacon Sports Centre in less than four years.

For Pihl the cooperation with the Aberdeen authorities and the 3R Project Board has been a very positive experience.
